Company founding and early technology & research development
1952
Company formed in Minnesota under the name FluiDyne establishing itself in the aerospace industry.
1959
10-acre site purchased in Plymouth, MN to house new hypersonic wind tunnel capable of reaching Mach 14.
1960s - 1980s
RSH technology, new tunnel designs, research and development, legacy companies formed
1960
Regenerative storage heater (RSH) technology created to produce very high temperature air supply system. Developed first test facility capable of real gas, real-time hypersonic flight simulation.
1967
Aero Systems Engineering, Inc. formed.
1972
Dynamic Engineering, Inc. formed in Newport News, Virginia to support aerospace research and development.
1990s - 2010s
Acquisitions and flight research, testing, hypersonic research and development milestones
1993
Aero Systems Engineering, Inc. acquires FluiDyne Engineering Corporation.
2006
Allied Aerospace is formed including Dynamic Engineering, Inc. & GASL

Triumph Group acquires Dynamic Engineering, Inc. from Allied Aerospace forming Triumph Aerospace Systems

Calspan acquires Triumph Aerospace Systems forming Calspan Systems
